Dawn at Cathedral Rock - Art of the Cup Finalist

One year can truly change everything.

The year before, my Art of the Cup submissions broke before I could finish them. I scrambled, sent a simple farmer’s-market cup, and received a polite “thanks for entering.” Truth was… it just wasn’t ready.

Fast forward one year. I pushed harder, leveled up my craft, and created a commissioned piece inspired by Cathedral Rock in Sedona—a landscape I had never seen in person. That piece became “Dawn at Cathedral Rock.”

In 2025, that cup was selected as a Finalist for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art’s “Art of the Cup” Exhibition in New Orleans.
The show ran from October 25 to December 8, 2025, with a reception on November 20, 2025.

From broken cups to museum walls.
It was a milestone I’ll never forget.
